Love times three is the story of a real modern-day polygamous marriage. Joe, Alina, Valerie and Vicki Darger have written a book which brings to life the reality of plural marriage in our "enlightened" society. They discuss their daily lives, how they deal with raising 24 children, and share many other personal moments and stories. What will surprise skeptics of plural marriage is how well their family functions and how well the sister wives get along. (At least most of the time) What I admire most about this family is how they are willing to put themselves in the limelight and not allow media and society to define who polygamists are. They are protecting their children (and all polygamist's children by extension) the best way possible - by showing the world the beauty of plural marriage thus erasing stereotypes and building acceptance. This book has the potential to change society's views on what plural marriage is all about. If you have ever seen the HBO show "Big Love," THIS true-tale was the inspiration for the show's creation. May many more polygamists come forward and show the world what plural marriage is all about.
